This 48P switch provides exceptional switching capacity of 256 Gbps with non blocking performance across all ports, ensuring reliable data transmission for medium size enterprises and distributed campuses. The platform offers market leading stacking density with support for up to 12 switches per stack, creating a unified stackable solution that can manage up to 576 Gigabit Ethernet ports through a single management interface. Advanced link aggregation capabilities and enterprise gigabit ethernet connectivity make this switch ideal for organizations requiring high-performance network infrastructure that can scale with growing demand while maintaining consistent reliability and performance expectations.
Designed to eliminate the need for additional power outlets and power injectors, the ICX7250 48P provides an impressive 740W PoE budget that can deliver PoE+ power to wireless access points, IP phones, and other powered devices through standard ethernet cables. This capability is essential for modern network infrastructure where organizations need to connect and power numerous wireless access points without requiring separate power connections at each location. The switch supports both PoE and PoE+ standards, enabling customers to deploy high-power devices such as 802.11ac wireless access points and security cameras throughout their facilities. For environments requiring even more power capacity, the system integrates with external power supplies that can support additional PoE requirements across multiple stacked ICX switches, providing the flexibility needed for large-scale wireless deployments in branch offices and campus environments.
Built as scalable edge switches for access deployment scenarios, the Ruckus ICX7250 48P combines enterprise class functionality with the flexibility and cost-effectiveness of a managed stackable solution that grows with organizational requirements. The switch features 8 SFP+ ports that can be configured as either 1GbE or upgraded to 10GbE through licensing, providing customers with investment protection and upgrade flexibility as network capacity requirements evolve. Advanced configuration options include support for DHCP server functionality, comprehensive VLAN management, and Layer 3 routing capabilities including RIP protocol support. The stacking architecture enables organizations to start with a single unit and expand their network infrastructure incrementally, maintaining centralized management while adding capacity and ports as business needs grow, making it an ideal solution for dynamic environments where network requirements frequently change.
The ICX switches platform incorporates intelligent management features that simplify network administration while providing the reliability and performance required for mission-critical business operations. Advanced monitoring capabilities provide real-time visibility into network performance, port utilization, and device status, enabling administrators to proactively manage network resources and troubleshoot issues before they impact users. The switch supports integration with Brocade SDN controller technologies for centralized policy management and automated configuration deployment across multiple network devices. Comprehensive warranty coverage and tested reliability ensure that customers receive dependable service throughout the product lifecycle, while field-replaceable components and hot-swappable power supplies minimize downtime during maintenance operations, making this switch suitable for environments where network availability is critical to business operations.
